Makati Shangri-La, Manila ushers in the Year of the Wood Snake with exciting festivities, exquisite dining offers and Lunar New Year delicacies.

On Chinese New Year, guests are welcomed by the rhythmic beat of drums, cymbals and gongs as the traditional Lion and Dragon Eye Dotting Ceremony marks the start of the vibrant Lion and Dragon dance ritual. The breath-taking performance starts at 12:30 p.m. in the lobby driveway.



Guests can gather their family and friends at Shang Palace for a luxurious festive lunch or dinner to celebrate the occasion and feast on set menus designed for groups or families of 10. Choose from options like the Abundance set menu at Php36,800++, Prosperity set menu at Php46,800++ or Auspicious set menu at Php 49,800++. These set menus are available from 19 January to 3 February 2025.



Guests can savor the auspicious season with a sumptuous buffet at Circles Event Cafe, featuring traditional favorites like Yee Sang, Double-Boiled Chicken Soup, Roast Duck, an array of dim sum, Braised E-Fu Noodles with Assorted Mushrooms and Vegetables in truffle Sauce, Mandarin Tiramisu and Pan-Fried Rice Cake. This delightful spread is available for dinner on 28 January 2025, and for both lunch and dinner on 29 January 2025. Lunch buffet rate is set at Php 2052.12++ (Php 2250 nett) per person and dinner rate is set at Php 2188.93++ (Php2400 nett ) per person.

Guests can spread prosperity to loved ones with Makati Shangri-La, Manila’s signature koi-fish inspired by Nian Gao, or Tikoy. Given as gifts or savored at home, these glutinous rice cakes symbolize good fortune for the year ahead. Available in classic, dried scallop and ham, mushroom and five spiced taro flavours.
